UFSC Teaching, Research and Outreach Week (SEPEX) is one of the major events of scientific dissemination in Santa Catarina.

Since 2000, the event brings together work done in the University in the form of a scientific exhibition open to the public, installed in front of the Rectorate Building, at UFSC Trindade Campus, Florianópolis. Each year, there are approximately 200 booths with projects in the areas of communication, culture, education, technology, environment, work, human rights and health. Around 50 thousand people visit SEPEX marquee every year.

During SEPEX, workshops, lectures and parallel events are also organized, such as the Seminar of Scientific Initiation.

Since 2009, the event takes place in the third week of October, along with the National Science and Technology Week, promoted by the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI).
